Schneider Electric introduced the digital twin NOA

Schneider Electric introduced its digital twin for production planning at the Enertic IX Edition Enertic Awards.

It presented it along with this message: “The Digital Twin project is a software development by Norlean (NOA) that will allow Schneider Electric’s Griñón production center to simulate different scenarios digitally of the plant to facilitate fast and effective decision making.”

Here are some benefits from the implementation of the digital twin in its processes, which will serve as improvement indicators:

  • Material flow from the warehouse to the assembly line.
  • Increased efficiency of time spent by operators.
  • Increased manufacturing capacity
  • Reduction of waiting times.

It is expected to reduce electricity consumption by 37,840 kW per year and gas consumption by 29,048 kW per year. Likewise, a 3% reduction in CO2 emissions is targeted for 2021.

The entire simulation is based on Lean principles and continuous improvement to help in the sequencing of production orders launched to manufacturing as well as material flows with the consequent optimization of resource allocation.

From NORLEAN we wish you good luck and success!
